       One of the major challenges poultry farmers can face in Cameroon is the\n        availability of day-old chicks. When supply falls behind demand, the\n        effect can quickly spread throughout the poultry production chain.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    <p>\n        Farmers may place orders, make payments, and then wait much longer than\n        expected before receiving chicks. For someone trying to run a serious\n        poultry business, delays like these can disrupt production schedules,\n        housing plans, feed purchases, labor arrangements, and expected sales.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    <p>\n        For beginners entering the poultry sector, the situation can be even\n        more confusing. A farmer may pay a supplier or intermediary and then,\n        after several weeks without receiving the chicks, begin to worry that\n        something has gone wrong.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    <p>\n        But in some cases, the supplier may also be waiting for stock from the\n        hatchery.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n\n    <p class=\"aaq-big-gap\">\n        For example, a farmer may pay a middleman, the middleman places an order\n        with a hatchery, and the hatchery is unable to provide the required\n        quantity within the expected period.
